Q:'What time should I come?"
A: The Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. If you have pre-registered, please come a few minutes early to check-in. If you have not pre-registered, please come at 8:00 a.m. to register.
Q:'Where do i go?"
A: This year's Walk locations are Northwoods Community Church in Peoria and Grace Church in Morton. Choose whichever location is most convenient for you and join us for a great walk!
Q: "Do I have to collect the money?"
A: No, you do not collect the money. Turn your pledge form in at the Walk and the money will be collected through the mail. If sponsors want to give you money, please mark "Paid Cash" or "Paid Check" below their name, and turn in the checks and/or cash with your Pledge Form. Please have checks made payable to Peoria Rescue Ministries.
Q:"How far do I have to walk?"
A: It's only about two miles, so all ages can participate! You will be asking your family and friends to sponsor you with a single, generous, tax-deductible gift for your participation in the two mile event, instead of being sponsored on a per-mile basis.
Q:"How much can I raise?"
A: There's no limit - you'll be surprised how easy it is! Nine out of ten people will say YES! The more people you ask, the more help we will be able to provide. And remember - If you raise a minimum of $200 in sponsorships, you get a FREE Walk t-shirt!
Q: "What if I can't be there that day or the weather is bad?"
A: The Walk will take place rain or shine, so bring an umbrella and walk! If you can't be there that day, no problem! Walk on your own and mail in the sponsor form or bring it by our office (601 SW Adams, Peoria, IL, 61602).
Q: "How do I ask someone to sponsor me and who will do it?"
A: Simply ask everyone you know... 'Will you sponsor me?" You'll be surprised at the number of people who will support you. Try asking: At Work (co-workers, staff, your boss), Family (parents, siblings, cousins), Friends (church, clubs, neighbors, students), by E-mail, Social Media, and don't forget Previous Sponsors.
